Your garden can boost the sale of your property

We all know first impressions last and this is often the case when selling your property. Houses with lovely exteriors sell faster by getting buyers through your door. Planting, turf and a garden tidy up is often one of the most inexpensive ways to improve a home’s exterior.
Here are our tips when selling your property:
General tidy up – remove any weeds, dead branches, debris and leaves. Cobwebs removed from gutters. If you are pressed for time focus on the borders as this will create the illusion of a neat garden.
Pressure cleaning – blast any paths, tiles and paved areas to freshen and brighten up your outdoor space.
Plant – fill any gaps or spaces with new plantings. Look for flowers that are quick to grow and easy to grow. Consider hedges to cover eyesore or to increase privacy.
Lawn – At the very least mow and edge your lawn. Patch up any worn areas or you could oversow with a lawn seed blend. This will thicken up and green the lawn. Don’t neglect your council strip!
Mulching – applying mulch can help your garden appear low maintenance and well kept. Mulch can also make your garden look neater and allow your plantings to ‘pop.’
Fix – fix any obvious hazards such as rotting timber pergolas and fences, relay lifting paving or stones.
These simple tips will give your buyers a first impression they won’t forget.
